Ocean gate is probably one of the best kept secrets of the Jersey Shore. Located on the historic Toms River where it meets the Barnegat Bay makes this an ideal location for a summer getaway. This quaint town is little over a square mile and is home to the largest riverfront beaches in the area. Riverfront properties can start around $300,000 up to $700,000 non waterfront properties start around $150,000 up to $400,000.

Located conviently off Exit 80 of the Parkway it is a little over an hour from NYC and Philly and 45 mins from Atlantic City which makes this town an ideal summer retreat.

A mile long boardwalk runs along the river which lets you enjoy the beaches, two fishing and swimming piers and all the activities they have to offer. The town has a population of a little over 2,000 people until it comes alive in the summer time with boating, sailing, fishing and crabbing people from all around the tri-state area. The town is also home of a historic private yacht club, two restaurants, the first municipal wind turbine (to be built).

Once known as the “Gate to the Ocean” it is just a short drive to the ocean beaches, waterparks, and seaside attractions we all come to the shore for.
